American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier woodworking and specialty building supply company in Pierce County, WA to hire a full-time Class C Box Truck Driver / Material Delivery Specialist. In this steady daytime role, you will operate a 28-foot straight box truck, handle local deliveries to contractor and customer sites, manually offload high-end architectural materials, and deliver exceptional face-to-face customer service. If you bring verified box truck driving experience, a clean record, and solid physical stamina, let's get you on the road!
Description for Class C Box Truck Driver:
- Safely operate a 28-foot commercial box truck across local Puget Sound routes.
- Perform multi-stop daily deliveries of fine hardwoods, sheet goods, and specialized woodworking supplies directly to commercial shops, job sites, and client locations.
- Manually offload, stage, and carry heavy materials safely using dollies, hand trucks, and proper lifting mechanics.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip commercial vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain electronic or written delivery logs, obtain client signatures, and verify order paperwork with 100% accuracy.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service at every stop as the public face of the company.
- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Steady daytime routine with guaranteed weekends off!).
- Route Style: 100% local routes—HOME EVERY NIGHT (Occasional overtime available).
- Location: Pierce County, WA dispatch hub.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway.
- Driving Background: Verifiable experience safely maneuvering 24' to 28' commercial straight box trucks or equivalent large delivery vehicles.
- Licensing: Valid standard Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Physical Stamina Mandatory: Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver 50–75+ lbs regularly for manual product offloading throughout full shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first attitude.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and route reliability.
- Consistent 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM schedule with weekends completely free.
