American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier local lumber yard in Tacoma, WA looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join their team. If you have experience handling industrial-sized loads and thrive in an active outdoor/warehouse environment, we want to talk to you!

Description for Forklift Operator:

  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate an Industrial Hyster Forklift to move lumber products.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pull and prepare orders for customer pick-up and delivery.
  • Shop Support: Assist with the occasional use of saws and other yard duties to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Inventory Logistics: Maintain an organized yard and ensure all materials are staged correctly.

Details for Forklift Operator:

  • Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00/hour (DOE)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (Enjoy your weekends!)
  • Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM OR 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience operating a Hyster Forklift.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working in a lumber yard or wood products environment is required.
  • Physicality: Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when the yard is busy.
