American Workforce Group has partnered with a local and reputable landscaping company located in Olympia, Washington that is looking to fill two Landscaping Lead positions (New Construction Lead and Maintenance Construction Lead). Details for Landscaping Lead:

- $25 - $35 (DOE!)

- Overtime opportunities available!

- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM work schedule

- Benefits: Medical, Dental 75%. Vacation, Retirement, Life Insurance 

 

Description for Landscaping lead:

- Reports directly to the Superintendent;

- Runs both commercial and residential projects;

- Leadman and laborers will report directly to the Foreman;

- Laying out and installing irrigation;

- Planting trees, shrubs, spreading topsoil and bark;

- Performing manual labor such as digging ditches, trenches and able to lift 50 plus pounds.

- Managing 3 - 4 landscape laborers at a time;

- Responsible for ensuring and enforcing safety compliance;

- Ability to handle any customer comments on the job site;

- Ability to drive trucks, tow trailers, and operate equipment as required;

- CDL License is a PLUS!

- THC Friendly!

 

Requirements for Landscaping Lead (Level 1):

- 2+ years experience with crew management;

- Must be able to read blueprints and/or follow instructions;

- Must have a valid WA State Driver's License;

- Must have basic math skills to be able to verify job requirements and specifications;

- Must be able to operate basic construction equipment (bobcat and mini excavator);

- Must be able to supervise and communicate verbally with laborers, operators, and management;

- Must be in sound physical condition and able to perform a physically demanding job which requires standing during the entire shift, loading, and unloading trucks and trailers.

 

Requirements for Landscaping Lead (Level 2):

- Must be able to perform all the above, plus;

- Must be willing to supervise larger crew and train staff;

- Willing to accept increased responsibility for material ordering and larger scale projects.

 

Requirements for Landscaping Lead (Level 3):

- Must be able to perform all the above, plus;

- Able to handle pressure and responsibility of large-scale projects.
