Job Description
Are you a skilled, safety-focused handyman ready for a rewarding new challenge? American Workforce Group has partnered with a rapidly growing property management company in the local area to add a versatile Maintenance Repair Technician to their busy team! In this active, high-variety role, you will diagnose and resolve resident work orders, perform general electrical, plumbing, and drywall fixes, and handle property upkeep to keep residential units in top condition. Description for Maintenance Repair Technician:
- Receive, prioritize, and execute assigned property work orders in an efficient, timely, and professional manner.
- Examine and accurately diagnose property maintenance issues involving basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, and structural components.
- Perform drywall patching, interior/exterior painting, fixture replacements, door/hardware adjustments, and general turnover repairs.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and communicate courteously with property residents and management.
- Adhere strictly to facility safety standards and proper tool operation guidelines across all project sites.
- Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour (DOE) + Benefits upon hire.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays.
- Status: Both Full-Time and Part-Time options available!
- Position Type: Temp-to-Hire path offering long-term career stability.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong background in general handyman work, property maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry.
- Prior interior and exterior painting experience strongly preferred.
- Physical capability to handle active maintenance labor—must be able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional record of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and jobsite reliability.
