AWG is looking for a journeyman level Machinist- if that is you, APPLY!
Description for Manual Machinist:
Potential candidates should be able to successfully set up + operate: manual engine lathes, vertical lathes, horizontal boring mills, milling machines, and other shop-related equipment
Details for Manual Machinist:
- 22-$40HR DOE
- Monday- Thursday 4 10 schedule or 5 8's Monday- Friday
- Day shift hours 6am/7am start time
- Benefits include- Employer-matched Simple Individual Retirement Account (IRA), Medical Insurance (includes vision)
Requirements for Manual Machinist:
- Lift 50-75 lbs
- Stand, stoop, bend, pull
- Some background restrictions may apply
- Ability to pass drug test
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Description

AWG is looking for a journeyman level Machinist- if that is you, APPLY!
Description for Manual Machinist:
Potential candidates should be able to successfully set up + operate: manual engine lathes, vertical lathes, horizontal boring mills, milling machines, and other shop-related equipment
- A successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and drawings to ensure proper dimensions/ tolerances of a finished product
- Understand basic geometry/trigonometry in order to determine the depth of cuts and machining dimensions
- Be able to calculate and set machine controls to regulate machining factors such as depth of cut and cutter speeds + feeds, and adjust accordingly
- Demonstrate an understanding of machining theories; sequence of machining operations, machine capabilities/limitations as well as fixturing when necessary
- Possess strong communication skills to convey ideas/problems with the part design or fabrication to other employees
- Inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece(s) to print specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Demonstrate the ability to operate overhead crane(s) and utilize safe rigging practices

- Escalating Paid Time Off (PTO) (can accrue up to 3 weeks)
- Reimbursement for steel toe work boots ($150) annually
- 25% reimbursement for work-related hand tools (up to $1000 annually)
- 50% reimbursement for the cost on all repairs for precision tools
- Flexible Scheduling
