American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier, locally owned sawmill to hire a full-time Mechanic. Description for Mechanic:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults across mill and yard equipment.
- Perform complex engine, hydraulic, and electrical system maintenance tasks.
- Research technical manuals and schematics to source and order necessary repair parts.
- Utilize torches and welding rigs to repair vehicle components and shop assets safely.
- Manage a detailed parts inventory log and keep precise preventative service schedules.
Details for Mechanic:
- Pay Range: $28.00 – $34.00 / hour (DOE).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) OR Swing Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM).
Requirements for Mechanic:
- In-depth technical knowledge of industrial engines and complex electrical systems required.
- Proven hands-on welding and cutting torch experience for equipment repair.
- Strong administrative ability to retain inventory records and manage service tracking.
- Self-motivated professional capable of managing a shop with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional daily attendance record and a strict focus on workplace safety.
