American Workforce Group has partnered with a Wood Product Company , the world’s largest producer of wood fence boards, looking for a Millwright in Shelton, WA!

Description for Millwright:

• Maintenance & Repair: Keep the mill operational by fixing breakdowns and maintaining cylinders, belts, conveyors, chains, motors, and valves.
• Preventative Programs: Perform rigorous PMs and troubleshoot mechanical issues before they lead to downtime.
• Installation: Dismantle, move, and install heavy machinery; construct foundations and ensure precise machine alignment.
• Technical Skills: Perform welding and carpentry as needed; read and interpret complex blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and "safety-first" work environment at all times.

Details for Millwright:

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Full-Time Swing Shift (40+ hours)
• Overtime: Significant overtime opportunities available as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven background in an industrial or manufacturing setting (Mill/Wood products experience is a major plus).
• Aptitude: Strong knowledge of PM programs, work order systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Technical: Ability to read blueprints, interpret safety manuals, and safely operate all industrial hand/power tools.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
