American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier local mill in Hoquiam, WA to find a highly skilled Office Assistant with Environmental & Safety experience. This is more than a desk job—it is a critical compliance role supporting the backbone of our local industry.

Description for Office Assistant (EHS & Regulatory):
- Regulatory Compliance: Support Accounting and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) departments with documentation for the EPA, Department of Ecology, and ORCAA.
- Permit Management: Update, interpret, and maintain critical Air Operating Permits.
- Field Sampling: Assist with environmental monitoring, including water and air sampling, lab testing coordination, and proper shipment of samples.
- Data Integrity: Log, track, and maintain testing results to ensure 100% compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Administrative Flow: Assist the Office Manager with invoicing, filing, and general operational support.
Details for Office Assistant:
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (DOE)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience in EHS, environmental compliance, or regulatory roles is required.
- Knowledge Base: Familiarity with EPA regulations and handling toxic/air hazardous pollutants.
- Technical Skills: Experience with air quality or wastewater permits is highly preferred.
- Aptitude: Strong documentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and an industrial/manufacturing background.
