American Workforce Group has partnered with a Family owned and operated truck sales and service shop located in Auburn, WA who is looking to add a qualified candidate to their team!

Description for Truck Mechanic/ Upfitter-Fabricator:
• Install various truck bodies such as van bodies, flat beds, dump beds, roll beds etc.
• Install various equipment such as liftgates, walk ramps, toolboxes, auxiliary power units, headache racks, grill guards, etc;
• Perform a variety of installs and modifications including we kits, truck body installs, wheelbases, axle installation and other mechanical tasks related to commercial truck.
• Fit and weld metal components as needed per job requirements
• Accurately read/use a tape measure and perform math calculations to layout projects
• Custom fabricate components per specifications
• Organize workspace and production area to maximize efficiency
• Perform inspections of completed work to ensure all necessary repairs are complete with highest quality workmanship
• Perform all tasks with a focus on safety and quality
• Any and all other tasks assigned by supervisor
Details for Truck Mechanic/ Upfitter-Fabricator:
- $25-40HR DOE
- Shop hours- Monday-Friday 8am-5PM expected hours 40HRS a week
- Benefits after hire include- - Medical, Dental, Vision, Free $15,000 Life insurance and Accidental death policies.
Requirements for Truck Mechanic/ Upfitter-Fabricator:
• Self-starter, able to work alone and as part of a team
• Mechanical background and electrical systems knowledge
• Welding skills (some welding is needed but this is NOT a dedicated welding position)
• Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, math and problem solving skills
• Must be dependable, and have a strong work ethic
• Regularly lift, carry, and otherwise move or position objects weighing 50 lbs.
- Some background restrictions may apply
- Ability to pass drug test
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment
