American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier trailer shop in Kelso, WA looking for a skilled Welder Mechanic to join their specialized repair team.

Description for Welder Mechanic:

• Structural Fabrication: Perform high-quality welding on steel and aluminum components; repair and fabricate trailer frames, crossmembers, floors, and doors.
• Mechanical Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to heavy-duty trailers and equipment.
• Systems Repair: Repair or replace axles, suspension components, landing gear, and air systems.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform rigorous preventative maintenance and safety inspections to keep fleets road-legal.

Details for Welder Mechanic:

• Pay Rate: $22.00 – $30.00/hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (Consistent Work-Life Balance!)
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements:

• Welding Proficiency: Proven experience with both steel and aluminum welding.
• Mechanical Background: Direct experience in mechanical repair is required.
• Fabrication Skills: Ability to fabricate structural components from scratch or repair existing damage.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of trailer systems and DOT standards is a major plus.
